Türkiye’s opponent in 2026 World Cup Qualifiers confirmed

The final opponent for Türkiye in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers has been confirmed. Spain, who triumphed over the Netherlands in a penalty shootout, secured their spot in the semifinals. As a result, Türkiye will face Georgia, Bulgaria, and Spain in Group E during the qualifiers.

The second leg of the UEFA Nations League quarterfinals concluded yesterday with four matches determining the teams advancing to the semifinals. Following the results, the 2026 World Cup qualification group draw took place, and Türkiye’s opponents were confirmed. After Spain’s victory over the Netherlands, Spain was confirmed as one of Türkiye’s opponents in the qualifiers.

Türkiye’s 2026 World Cup qualification fixtures in Group E are as follows:

  • Sept. 4, 2025: Georgia – Türkiye
  • Sept. 7, 2025: Türkiye – Spain
  • Oct. 11, 2025: Bulgaria – Türkiye
  • Oct. 14, 2025: Türkiye – Georgia
  • Nov. 15, 2025: Türkiye – Bulgaria
  • Nov. 18, 2025: Spain – Türkiye

Türkiye will begin their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign with an away match against Georgia on Sept. 4, 2025.
