Türkiye’s Fenerbahce and Galatasaray join world’s top 50 football teams

The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) recently published its global club rankings, covering the period from Nov. 1, 2023, to Oct. 31, 2024.

Among the world’s top 50 teams, Türkiye’s Fenerbahce and Galatasaray have secured notable positions, reflecting their presence in international football.

Real Madrid tops list, with Fenerbahce and Galatasaray gaining traction

IFFHS’s latest rankings placed Real Madrid in the lead, followed by Manchester City, Bayer Leverkusen and Atalanta.

Fenerbahce, ranked 34th, slipped nine places, while Galatasaray, now ranked 44th, climbed eight spots, signaling recent progress.

Other teams in the top ten, such as Barcelona, Flamengo, and Liverpool, also made positive movements.

Movement of other Turkish teams in global rankings besides Fenerbahce and Galatasaray

Türkiye’s Besiktas and Trabzonspor feature further down the list, with Besiktas moving up 13 places to 92nd and Trabzonspor down two spots to 117th. Samsunspor made the most significant jump among Turkish teams, advancing by 43 places to rank 242nd.
