Ali Can Ozcan, representing Türkiye, has secured a silver medal in the men’s K44 58kg category at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. The para taekwondo competition took place at the Grand Palais, where Ozcan faced off against Israel’s Asaf Yasur, the top-seeded athlete in this category, in the final match.

Despite a determined effort, Ozcan was defeated 19-12 by Yasur, earning a silver medal for Türkiye.

Youth and Sports Minister Osman Askin Bak was present in the stands, showing support for the national athlete throughout the competition.

Ali Can Ozcan, who has previously claimed two European championships and two runner-up titles, along with one silver and three bronze medals at the World Championships, celebrated his first medal at the Paralympic Games with this achievement.
