Turkish Olympic champion Mete Gazoz has exited the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in the men’s individual archery quarterfinals.

Gazoz faced South Korean archer Kim Woojin, who is currently ranked second in the world. Despite a strong performance, Gazoz lost with a final score of 6-4.

Gazoz, who won gold in the previous Olympics, had high hopes for this year’s games. His early exit in the quarterfinals was unexpected and disappointing for his fans and supporters.

This loss means that Türkiye’s medal prospects in men’s individual archery now rest on other athletes.

As Gazoz returns home, his focus will likely shift to future competitions and preparing for the next Olympics.

Despite the setback, his achievements and skills remain a source of pride for Türkiye.

The Paris 2024 Olympics continue, with many other athletes still vying for their chance at glory.
