Demiral’s statue making gray wolf sign to be erected in Izmir
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Provincial Council has decided to erect a statue of the national team footballer Merih Demiral.
At the August ordinary assembly meeting of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, the motions added to the agenda were discussed and voted.
Among the agenda items was the UEFA Disciplinary Committee’s two-match penalty to national footballer Merih Demiral for his “bozkurt” gesture in the Austria match played in the last 16 round of Euro 2024.
The city council unanimously accepted the proposal to erect the statue of the national footballer in Izmir.
