Türkiye’s Trabzonspor U19 defeated Italian side Inter 1-0 in the UEFA Youth League quarterfinals on Tuesday, advancing to the semifinals. The match, played at home in Papara Park, set a new attendance record for the competition, with 40,368 spectators.

In the 39th minute, Inter had the opportunity to take the lead, but Trabzonspor goalkeeper Erol Can Colak saved a penalty from Spinacce with his feet, and the rebound went out for a corner. The first half ended goalless.

Trabzonspor broke the deadlock in the 77th minute. Ekrem Terzi pressured in midfield to win the ball, then dribbled into the left side of the penalty area before firing a shot. The ball deflected off the defense and found the far corner of the net, giving Trabzonspor a 1-0 lead.

The victory secured Trabzonspor’s place in the semifinals of the competition. Trabzonspor will face Salzburg in the semifinal, which will be hosted in Nyon, Switzerland, on April 25.
