Recurve Men’s Archery Team secures Türkiye’s first medal at Paris 2024 Olympics
Türkiye’s Recurve Men’s Archery Team secured the nation’s first medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics on Monday. The team, comprising Mete Gazoz, Muhammed Abdullah Yildirmis, and Ulas Berkim Tumer, faced off against China’s Wenchao Kao, Zhongyuan Li, and Yan Wang at Les Invalides.
Türkiye started strong with a 55-54 win in the first set but fell behind with a 57-56 loss in the second set. The team reclaimed their advantage by winning the third set 55-54 and the fourth set 56-54, ultimately finishing with a 6-2 victory to claim the bronze medal.
This victory marks Türkiye’s initial medal achievement at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
