After Real Madrid’s narrow 1-0 victory over Sevilla in La Liga’s 26th-week match, coach Carlo Ancelotti revealed Sunday an unfortunate turn of events for Arda Guler. 

The match witnessed Arda, who recently returned from injury and eager to make an impact, facing a stroke of misfortune. As he geared up to enter the game in its final moments, disappointment struck with Luka Modric’s timely goal for Real Madrid against Sevilla.

Arda’s anticipation to contribute on the pitch was abruptly halted, marking a poignant moment in the match for the aspiring player.

The game saw Real Madrid securing the win with a goal from Modric in the 81st minute.

Football coach Carlo Ancelotti had initially intended to bring him into the game just before Modric’s decisive goal. However, the coach changed his decision after the goal, resulting in Arda Güler remaining on the bench for the entire match.

Ancelotti acknowledged the situation, stating, “I had a plan before Modric’s goal. Then, I gave up on the Arda Guler substitution. Arda understands this situation very well.”

Real Madrid, maintaining its lead in La Liga with 65 points, looks ahead to an away match against Valencia in the upcoming week.
