Real Madrid intensify preparations for a pivotal clash against RB Leipzig in the Champions League

Real Madrid are gearing up for a major showdown against RB Leipzig in the Champions League last-16 tie at the Bernabeu scheduled on March 6.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side came away with a narrow 1-0 win from the first leg, which does not provide an insurmountable advantage for their Bundesliga rivals.

In the absence of Jude Bellingham due to injury, Brahim Diaz came out with an impressive individual effort in the first leg to seal the win for Los Blancos.

Despite their victory, Real Madrid had to recover from effective attacks several times, especially from Benjamin Sesko. Still, they managed to maintain their lead thanks to last-minute defending and heroics from goalkeeper Andriy Lunin.

Since then, Real Madrid’s form has been somewhat shaky, with just one win in their last three La Liga matches.

Leipzig, on the other hand, is no stranger to difficulties.

Despite their strong performance in the first leg, they face uphills

With key players returning from suspension and injury, the Bundesliga side will look to exploit any weaknesses in Real Madrid’s squad.

However, they must be sharp in front of their goals to reverse the disadvantage and qualify for the quarter-finals.
