Juventus footballer Paul Pogba received significant blow with a four-year football ban due to a failed anti-doping test

Juventus footballer Paul Pogba faced on Thursday significant setback as he was handed a four-year suspension from football following a failed anti-doping test. 

The Italian Anti-Doping Organisation imposed a provisional suspension in September after the test, after Juventus’ 3-0 win against Udinese on Aug. 20. 

Pogba, aged 30, vehemently contests the verdict, considering it “incorrect.” He will challenge the Court of Arbitration for Sport decision. 

The severity of the ban aligns with FIFA’s guidelines, ranging between two to four years based on the intentionality of the anti-doping rule violation.
