In the Greek Cup semifinal, coached by Fatih Terim, Panathinaikos secured a spot in the final by eliminating PAOK in a dramatic penalty shoot-out.
PAOK initially led 1-0 with Andrija Zivkovic’s 72nd-minute goal, pushing the match into extra time.
Tomasz Kedziora extended PAOK’s lead to 2-0 in the 105th minute. However, Panathinaikos fought back, and Dimitris Limnios’s goal in the 120+9 minute period forced a penalty shoot-out.
Panathinaikos prevailed 6-5 in the shoot-out, securing their place in the final.
They await the winner of the Aris-Panaitolikos match in a bid to claim the prestigious Greek Cup title.
