Ons Jabeur secured her first quarterfinal victory of the year by defeating Emma Raducanu at the Mubadala Abu Dhabi tournament

Tunisian tennis star Ons Jabeur moved into her first quarterfinal of the year with a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Britain’s Emma Raducanu at the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open on Wednesday night.

The No.2 seed, Jabeur, demonstrated her prowess on the court, defeating the 2021 U.S. Open champion with a scoreline of 6-4, 6-1. This marked their first meeting on the Hologic WTA Tour, and Jabeur’s strategic play and execution of tactics were lauded after the match.

In her post-match comments, Jabeur expressed satisfaction with her performance and acknowledged her coach’s role in developing effective strategies. 

Next for Jabeur is a quarterfinal clash against No.6 seed Beatriz Haddad Maia from Brazil.
