Houston Rockets’ Turkish center, Alperen Sengun, is ranked 6th in fan voting for the Western Conference frontcourt in the initial results for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game.

The event is scheduled for Feb. 16 at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

Turkish NBA star Alperen Sengun’s standout performance

At just 22 years old and in his fourth NBA season, Sengun has been a key player for the Rockets. His season stats highlight his value:

All-Star voting breakdown

Fan voting determines 50% of the All-Star Game starters, while NBA players and a media panel each contribute 25%. Despite his strong season, Sengun faces tough competition.

  • Top frontcourt players in the Western Conference fan vote:
    1. Nikola Jokic: 1,422,121 votes
    2. LeBron James: Over 800,000 votes ahead of Sengun
    3. Others ranked above Sengun

Sengun, with 314,223 votes, is a longshot to start in the game but remains a strong contender for a reserve spot. Reserve players are chosen by NBA coaches, who select:

  • 3 frontcourt players
  • 2 backcourt players
  • 2 wild-card picks

Currently, no other Houston Rockets player has made the top 10 in fan voting. Sengun‘s consistent performance and rising popularity, however, continue to boost his All-Star chances.
