A set of six individual Air Jordan sneakers, each worn by Jordan during the NBA Finals, including the pivotal games that secured his six career NBA championships, were up for Sotheby’s auction in New York.

This remarkable sale is the second-highest price ever for Michael Jordan sports memorabilia.

The sneakers, steeped in basketball history, played a pivotal role in Jordan’s illustrious career. 

They witnessed the defining moments of his six NBA Finals victories, adding extraordinary significance to the auction.

This auction follows the September 2022 sale of Jordan’s 1998 NBA Finals opening game jersey from the iconic “Last Dance” season.

That jersey, worn during a historic game, holds the world record for the highest price ever paid for any game-worn sports memorabilia, fetching an impressive $10.1 million.
