The final match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey
In an exciting announcement, FIFA declared that MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, will host the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on July 19.
The tournament, expanded to feature 48 national teams, will be jointly hosted by the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, kicking off in Mexico City at the Estadio Azteca on June 11, 2026.
MetLife Stadium, with a capacity for 82,500 fans, will set the stage for the tournament’s pinnacle, showcasing the diverse and inclusive spirit of the region. Last year’s preseason match between Arsenal and Manchester United drew a soccer record crowd of 82,262.
As part of the host nations, Canada will witness its first-ever men’s FIFA World Cup match at BMO Field in Toronto on June 12, 2026. The Canadian squad will face an opponent yet to be named. The host nations, automatically placed in the finals, will join 45 teams determined in March 2025 at the earliest.
