Mert Muldur’s goal named best of Euro 2024 first round matches
Turkish national player Mert Muldur’s goal against Georgia has been named the best goal of the first group matches in the Euro 2024.
According to an announcement by UEFA, Muldur, who scored the first goal for Türkiye in their 3-1 victory over Georgia, topped the poll for the “best goal of the first group matches.”
Other contenders included Arda Guler, who scored Türkiye’s second goal in the same match to put them ahead 2-1, Nicolae Stanciu, who scored the first goal for Romania in their 3-0 win over Ukraine and Nicolo Barella, who netted the winning goal for Italy in their 2-1 victory over Albania.
