Manchester United reportedly offers €40M, Rasmus Hojlund for Victor Osimhen

Manchester United remains persistent in acquiring Galatasaray‘s star Victor Osimhen according to media reports. According to Calciomercato, the team’s offer for Osimhen includes sending Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund to Napoli and paying 40 million euros.
Manchester United had acquired Hojlund two years ago for 70 million euros from Atalanta.
Rasmus Hojlund has struggled to meet expectations. The Danish striker has managed only 23 goals in 77 appearances for the English club.
Manchester United, far from the Premier League title race this season, aims to build a strong squad for the next campaign.
According to Nigerian sports journalist Anthony Nlebem, Osimhen’s transfer to ‘red devils’ is 95 per cent done.
Reports recall that Napoli had previously attempted to sign Hojlund during his time at Atalanta but failed to secure the transfer. Since then, the club has undergone managerial and sporting changes, making it unclear how they will respond to Manchester United’s potential offer.
Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen has played 27 matches across all competitions for Galatasaray this season, contributing 25 goal involvements (20 goals, 5 assists).
English newspaper The Sun had suggested that Manchester United and Napoli are discussing a high-profile swap deal involving Marcus Rashford and Victor Osimhen.
