Las Vegas’s Super Bowl 2024 ticket prices could soar to record-breaking average of $12,700
Tickets in the secondary market hit also the record of the Super Bowl history record
Las Vegas, set to host its inaugural Super Bowl, is witnessing an unprecedented rise in ticket prices, indicating the immense anticipation surrounding the clash between the defending champions and the West’s likely most popular team.
As of Monday morning, ticket prices on the TickPick platform reached a record-breaking average purchase price of $9.815.
This figure is almost double the final average price of $5,795 recorded for last year’s game between the Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles in Glendale, Arizona. Although, it is worth noting current prices may undergo fluctuations.
The current average price surpasses the previous high of $7,046 set in 2021 for the game held in Tampa, Florida, between the Buccaneers and the Chiefs.
The limited 33% capacity because of COVID-19 restrictions at that time significantly increased the demand for each ticket.
Even the lowest-priced ticket on TickPick for this year’s game stood at a staggering $8.188 on Monday, surpassing the $5.997 recorded as the lowest price at the same point last year.
Contrary to the usual trend of a slight decline in prices because of fan fatigue when both teams have made Super Bowl appearances in the past five years, the current scenario defies expectations.
Demand is reaching unprecedented levels, with a significant trigger being the desire of fans to witness their team securing a Super Bowl victory in the city of Las Vegas.
There’s a great possibility that Taylor Swift will be among the attendees during the matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers on Feb. 11.
