Juventus lowers Filip Kostic’s transfer fee in negotiations with Fenerbahce

Juventus has lowered its asking price for Serbian winger Filip Kostic, who is currently on loan at Fenerbahce.
The Italian club initially sought between €5 and €6 million for the 32-year-old, but recent reports indicate that Juventus is now willing to accept a fee as low as €4 million.
This development has increased the likelihood that Fenerbahce will secure Kostic’s permanent transfer.
Kostic impresses Fenerbahce and coach Jose Mourinho
Filip Kostic, who joined Fenerbahce on loan from Juventus at the start of the season, has made a significant impact with his performances.
The Serbian international impressed both Fenerbahce’s fans and coach Jose Mourinho, with some sources suggesting that Mourinho recommended keeping Kostic in the squad. As a result, Fenerbahce management is now actively pursuing his permanent transfer.
Juventus’s motivation to sell Kostic
According to reports from Tutosport, Juventus aims to offload Kostic to reduce its financial burden. The club plans to free up a portion of his €5 million gross salary while also adding a small transfer fee to their coffers.
Juventus appears keen to make room for new signings and to alleviate the financial strain caused by Kostic’s wages.
Fenerbahce seeks to lower transfer fee further
Although the new €4 million asking price is a step down for Juventus, Fenerbahce believes that the price remains too high. The Turkish club is reportedly continuing negotiations in hopes of securing an even lower transfer fee.
Fenerbahce is eager to finalize the deal and bring Kostic permanently, but only if the price is right.
Possible contract extension with Fenerbahce
Should the transfer be completed, Fenerbahce plans to offer Kostic a 2+1-year contract. The winger, who has expressed satisfaction with life in Istanbul, is reportedly open to staying with Fenerbahce for the long term.
