Jose Mourinho prepares Fenerbahce overhaul, plans to axe 12 players

Fenerbahce has launched a major squad overhaul ahead of the upcoming season, with head coach Jose Mourinho informing club management that he does not plan to retain at least 12 players currently on the team.
Despite remaining in contention for the Super Lig title, Fenerbahce is already looking ahead, with Mourinho determined to reshape the squad regardless of how the current campaign ends.

Key names on Jose Mourinho’s exit list
According to Turkish media, Mourinho has submitted a list of 12 players he does not intend to work with next season. That number may grow before the summer transfer window closes.
Among the most notable names on the list are team captains Edin Dzeko and Dusan Tadic, both of whom are nearing the end of their contracts.
Also reportedly set to leave are Cenk Tosun, Burak Kapacak, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Ismail Yuksek, Serdar Aziz, Rodrigo Becao, Alexander Djiku, Allan Saint-Maximin, Dominik Livakovic, and Fred.

Decisions still pending
Mourinho is expected to make final decisions on Caglar Soyuncu and Filip Kostic at the end of the season. Depending on incoming and outgoing transfers, the squad could undergo a dramatic transformation.
Club sources suggest that Jose Mourinho’s long-term vision involves building a leaner, more competitive team to make a stronger push in domestic and European competitions next season.
