Japanese Footballer Kaoru Mitoma concludes season early due to injury
Zerbi says the 26-year-old left winger will likely be sidelined for the remainder of the season
Japanese football player Kaoru Mitoma, a member of the English Premier League team Brighton & Hove Albion, concluded the season early because of a back injury.
Brighton’s coach, Roberto De Zerbi, revealed in a press conference that the 26-year-old left winger will likely be sidelined for the remainder of the season.
The back problem prevented Mitoma from participating in the match against Everton, and De Zerbi estimated a recovery period of two to three months.
Mitoma, who scored three goals in 19 Premier League matches this season, has also represented the Japan national team 20 times, scoring seven goals.
