Thousands of ecstatic football fans in Abidjan flooded the streets on Tuesday to partake in the triumphant Ivory Coast national football team parade, which clinched the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).

The host nation secured their third Afcon title with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Nigeria in a closely contested final. The joyous parade featured players proudly displaying the coveted trophy on a truck adorned with banners proclaiming the Elephants as “Champions of Africa 2023” and three stars, signifying their three Afcon triumphs.
