In the 54-kilogram boxing final at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Hatice Akbas secured a silver medal. Akbas faced Chinese boxer Yuan Chang and lost by a score of 5-0.

During the match at Roland-Garros, Akbas lost the first round 4-1, the second round 5-0, and the third round 5-0, resulting in an overall loss of 5-0. This achievement marks Turkey’s second silver medal at the Paris 2024 Games.

Akbas’s journey to the final included a 3-2 victory over Charley Davison of Great Britain in her first match, a 5-0 win against Australian Tiana Echegaray in the Round of 16, a 5-0 win over Enkhjargal Munguntsetseg of Mongolia in the quarterfinals, and a 3-2 victory over South Korea’s Aeji Im in the semifinals.
