Galatasaray targets Joao Felix on loan deal

Following their victory over Fenerbahce in the Ziraat Turkiye Cup, Galatasaray has quickly shifted focus to the transfer market, reportedly starting talks to bring in Joao Felix.
The move is expected to be a loan deal with a purchase option.
Currently leading the Super Lig title race, Galatasaray is accelerating their transfer plans for next season.
With Dries Mertens likely to leave the club at the end of the season, the club is looking to sign a major star to strengthen their squad.
Joao Felix, 25, is owned by Chelsea and spent the second half of the season on loan at Milan. In an interview with Italian media, renowned agent Jorge Mendes confirmed Galatasaray is in talks with the player.
If the deal is completed, Felix will join Galatasaray on loan with the option for the club to buy him. The Portuguese forward, whose contract with Chelsea runs until 2031, is expected to play in the UEFA Champions League with Galatasaray next season.

Galatasaray has been strengthening its squad in recent years with high-profile signings such as Mauro Icardi, Victor Osimhen, Alvaro Morata, Dries Mertens, and Davinson Sanchez. The club now hopes to add Joao Felix to their lineup.
Felix began his career in Porto’s youth system before rising to prominence at Benfica. In 2019, he made a record €127 million ($136 million) transfer to Atletico Madrid.
Earlier this season, Chelsea signed him for €52 million ($56 million), before loaning him out to Milan for the rest of the season.
