Galatasaray has finalized an agreement with Milan for the transfer of Spanish star Alvaro Morata. The 32-year-old striker is expected to arrive in Istanbul on Saturday night.

According to Italian sports reporter Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray accelerated negotiations with Milan, securing a loan deal for Morata with a mandatory purchase clause at the end of the season.

The clubs have reportedly agreed on an €8 million purchase option, which includes a one-year contract extension if the clause is exercised.

Galatasaray has also reached a 3.5-year contract with Morata. He is reportedly to sign a three-year deal with the club after his loan period ends. For the remainder of the season, Morata is expected to earn €3 million, with an annual salary of over €6 million thereafter.

Morata, who rose through Atletico Madrid’s academy and later joined Real Madrid’s youth system, won the EURO 2024 championship with Spain and served as the national team captain. The striker has played for several top clubs, including Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea, and Atletico Madrid. This season, he has made 25 appearances for Milan, scoring six goals and providing two assists.
