Galatasaray drew 3-3 with Kasimpasa in the 26th week of the Turkish Super Lig, missing a crucial opportunity in the title race.

At the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadium, Galatasaray took an early lead in the 12th minute with a penalty from Victor Osimhen. Despite controlling the first half and holding a 1-0 advantage, Galatasaray allowed several scoring chances for Kasimpasa.

However, goalkeeper Fernando Muslera made key saves to keep the opposition at bay, and the first half ended 1-0 in favor of the visitors.

Kasimpasa came out strong in the second half, turning the game around with goals from Mortadha Ben Ouanes in the 52nd minute and Josip Brekalo in the 61st minute to lead 2-1. Galatasaray quickly responded with a Davinson Sanchez equalizer in the 69th minute, followed by Osimhen’s second goal in the 71st minute to regain a 3-2 lead. However, Kasimpasa’s Haris Hajradinovic converted a penalty in the 85th minute, leveling the match at 3-3.

The draw marked Galatasaray’s fifth of the season, keeping them unbeaten with 20 wins and raising their points tally to 65. Kasimpasa moved up to 32 points.

Repeat of 1st half result

Galatasaray failed to defeat Kasimpasa, with both matches between the teams this season ending in 3-3 draws.

In their previous meeting in the 7th week, Galatasaray, playing at RAMS Park, surrendered a 3-0 lead to finish 3-3. Similarly, in this 26th-week match, despite leading 1-0 and 3-2, Galatasaray could not hold on for the victory.

Four matches without a win

Galatasaray is now winless in their last four official matches. Their most recent victory came in the 24th week of the Super Lig against Caykur Rizespor.

Since then, they have drawn two Super Lig matches, a UEFA Europa League match, and a Ziraat Türkiye Cup match.

During this stretch, Galatasaray drew with Fenerbahce and Kasimpasa in the league, AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League, and TUMOSAN Konyaspor in the cup.

First back-to-back dropped points of season

For the first time this season, Galatasaray failed to win two consecutive Super Lig matches. After a scoreless draw against Fenerbahce in the 25th week, they were held to a 3-3 draw by Kasimpasa.

The last time Galatasaray went two straight league matches without a win was during weeks 31 and 32 of the 2022-2023 season, nearly two years ago.
