Galatasaray draws 2-2 with Malmo in UEFA Europa League
Galatasaray played to a 2-2 draw in away clash with Swedish side Malmo in the 6th round of the UEFA Europa League.
Galatasaray fell behind 1-0 after Erik Botheim’s header in the 24th minute but rallied to take a 2-1 lead.
However, Galatasaray player Kerem Demirbay, who replaced the injured Davinson Sanchez in the 32nd minute, assisted Elias Jelert’s equalizer in the 43rd minute, leveling the score at halftime.
In the second half, Galatasaray gained control, and Yunus Akgun put them ahead 2-1 with a goal in the 56th minute, but Malmo mounted pressure in the final moments, and in the 90+2 minute, Pena scored to equalize.
With this result, Galatasaray reached 12 points in the UEFA Europa League, while Malmo increased their total to 4 points.
