Fenerbahce Beko head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius has been named the EuroLeague Coach of the Year for the 2024–25 season.

In an official statement released by the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, it was announced: “Jasikevicius has won the 2024–25 Alexander Gomelskiy Coach of the Year award, becoming the first Lithuanian head coach to receive this prestigious honor.”

This marks Jasikevicius’s first time winning the award, which is determined by votes from fellow EuroLeague head coaches.

Under Jasikevicius’s leadership, Fenerbahce Beko finished the EuroLeague regular season in second place. He surpassed Olympiacos head coach Georgios Bartzokas—whose team topped the regular season standings—in the final vote. Bayern Munich’s Gordon Herbert and Paris Basketball’s Tiago Splitter tied for third.

Fenerbahce Beko last claimed this award in 2017 when legendary coach Zeljko Obradovic was recognized.

Jasikevicius becomes the 13th different coach to win the award. Previous multiple-time recipients include Zeljko Obradovic (3 times), Georgios Bartzokas (3), Ettore Messina (2), Pablo Laso (2), and Dimitris Itoudis (2).

Other former winners of the award include Pini Gershon, Dusko Vujosevic, Xavi Pascual, Dusan Ivkovic, David Blatt, Ergin Ataman, and Chus Mateo.
