Fenerbahce management decides Mourinho’s future will be reassessed end of season

The future of Fenerbahce head coach Jose Mourinho remains uncertain. There are differing opinions between the club’s management and the fans regarding the Portuguese coach’s situation. The recent loss to Galatasaray has reignited discussions.
However, Fenerbahce management has decided Mourinho‘s future.
Fenerbahce started the season with high hopes and clear goals. Under Mourinho’s leadership, the team aimed for titles in three competitions, but now, only the Super Lig title remains a possibility.
Having been eliminated from Europe and knocked out of the Turkish Cup by Galatasaray in the quarterfinals, the performance of the Portuguese coach has become a subject of debate. Mourinho’s failure to secure any victories in derbies has prompted the management to take action.
Decision to be made at the end of the season
According to a report from Sabah, following the derby, the management did not make any radical decisions.
Mourinho’s future will be reassessed at the end of the season, based on the situation in the Super Lig.

What is Mourinho’s compensation?
Mourinho, who is under contract with Fenerbahce until June 2026, does not have a special severance clause.
However, if he is dismissed at the end of the season, he will be entitled to one year’s salary, which is approximately 15 million euros ($16.2 million) when including his staff. If Mourinho resigns, no objection will be raised.
