Turkish Basketball Club Anadolu Efes announces parting of ways with Erdem Can as head coach

Anadolu Efes, one of the prominent basketball clubs in the EuroLeague, has officially parted ways with coach Erdem Can in the wake of a significant defeat against Zalgiris in Kaunas. 

The club confirmed the decision to separate from Coach Erdem Can, marking the end of his five-month tenure as the head coach.

The departure of Erdem Can from Anadolu Efes was announced as the club described the decision as a ‘separation.’ 

The coaching change comes after a challenging period for the team, highlighted by a substantial 96-70 loss to Trinchieri’s Zalgiris in Kaunas.

The defeat prompted the club’s management to reevaluate its coaching staff, deciding to part ways with Erdem Can.

Anadolu Efes, a two-time European champion, will now navigate the remainder of the season with a new coaching strategy as they seek to regain momentum and secure victories in the competitive EuroLeague landscape.
