Dutch runner Femke Bol breaks record in Champions
Bol showcases outstanding skills at the National Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn, breaking world record in the 400 meters
Femke Bol shattered her indoor 400m world record at the Dutch championships in Apeldoorn on Sunday, clocking at 49.24 seconds.
The double world champion in the outdoor 400m hurdles broke her previous record at the same venue by two-hundredths of a second.
Bol showcased her exceptional form with earlier season performances of 49.69 seconds in Metz and 49.63 seconds in Lievin.
The 23-year-old is now the frontrunner for the 400m event at Glasgow’s upcoming World Indoor Championships.
Lieke Klaver also delivered a stellar performance, setting a personal best of 50.10 seconds, making her the second-fastest indoor performer of the year and solidifying the Netherlands’ potential for gold and silver in the event.
