Cedi Osman played a pivotal role in Panathinaikos’ 78-72 victory over Olympiakos in the 15th week of the Greek Basketball League.
The Turkish star recorded 18 points and 6 rebounds, helping his team maintain their perfect record of 15-0. Olympiakos, on the other hand, suffered their second loss of the season, both at the hands of Panathinaikos.
Osman reflects on win, his performance
After the game, Osman expressed his pride in his team’s performance, especially given the absence of several key players because of injury. “We showed great pride in today’s performance. As the coach mentioned, we have several injured players, but everyone stepped up to fill the gaps.
We are a fantastic team, and I am very proud of our effort today. After two losses in the Euroleague, this was a crucial match. Beating Olympiakos is a huge achievement. I’m proud of my teammates, and I want to thank all the fans; they were incredible today. We will continue on our path,” Cedi Osman said.
Reflecting on his performance, Cedi Osman shared his satisfaction with his progress in adapting to European basketball: “I’m starting to feel like myself again. Right now, I feel good, and I’m adapting better to European basketball. Everything is going well, and I’m playing like myself, taking responsibility, and doing what the team needs. I’m happy to finally be playing the way I know how.”

The fans supported us for the full 40 minutes, and even when we struggled, they continued to support us. That was crucial. I want to thank all the Panathinaikos fans who came today and will be back on Thursday.”

Alongside Cedi Osman, Panathinaikos received strong performances from Jerian Grant, who scored 18 points and grabbed 3 rebounds, and Kendrick Nunn, who added 14 points and 6 assists.
Kostas Sloukas contributed 12 points and 5 assists, while Juancho Hernangomez chipped in with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Despite missing key players, Panathinaikos showcased their depth and resilience.
