As the summer transfer window nears its end, Brighton & Hove Albion is pushing hard to sign Fenerbahce’s versatile star, Ferdi Kadioglu.

The English club has increased its offer to $38.15 million in a bid to secure the talented player. This updated offer includes $36.03 million in guaranteed payments and an additional $2.18 million in bonuses.

Fenerbahce has been reluctant to let go of Kadioglu, who has become a key player for both the club and the Turkish national team. Brighton’s latest offer is the highest the club has received, and it could set a new transfer record in Türkiye.

Brighton is not the only club interested in Kadioglu. Arsenal and Manchester United have also shown interest in the 24-year-old, who has caught the attention of top European clubs. Kadioglu’s ability to perform in multiple positions and his physical development has made him a prime target for Premier League teams.

Fenerbahce President Ali Koc previously stated, “If an astronomical offer doesn’t come, players like Irfan Can Kahveci, Fred, Ferdi, and Osayi will stay with the team.” Brighton’s latest bid might be the “astronomical” offer Koc was referring to. He is expected to meet with Kadioglu soon to discuss the player’s future and his interest in a move to England.

Kadioglu’s potential transfer would surpass the current Super Lig record, held by Sacha Boey, who was tranferred for $32.7 million. If Kadioglu accepts the offer, he will not only set a new record but also become one of the most profitable transfers in Fenerbahce’s history.

Kadioglu joined Fenerbahce in 2018 for just $1.63 million, and his current market value has skyrocketed due to his impressive performances.

Fenerbahce, however, isn’t sitting idle. The club is reportedly preparing a five-year contract extension for Kadioglu, with a significant salary increase. This move indicates Fenerbahce’s desire to keep Kadioglu despite the lucrative offer from Brighton.

The club’s management is faced with a tough decision: retain one of their star players or cash in on a record-breaking offer.

In the last season, Kadioglu played 51 matches for Fenerbahce, scoring three goals and providing five assists. His consistent performance has been crucial for the team, and his potential departure would leave a significant gap.

If Kadioglu stays, Fenerbahce fans can expect to see more of his versatility and skill on the field. If he leaves, the club will have to find a suitable replacement quickly.
