The Bavarian representative, who took the lead with Jamal Musiala’s goal in the 14th minute of the match, fell behind 3-1 with the goals of Takuma Asano in the 38th minute, Keven Schlotterbeck in the 44th minute and Kevin Stöger in the 78th minute.
Bayern Munich, who got hopeful with Harry Kane in the 87th minute, could not score despite their pressured play in the remaining minutes and left the field without any points.
Bayer Leverkusen is at the top of the Bundesliga with 58 points, while Bayern Munich is in second place with 50 points.
