After strengthening their squad in January with 19-year-old Keny Arroyo and 21-year-old Elan Ricardo, Besiktas is set to continue its rejuvenation strategy under head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer next season.

The Black and Whites are preparing to submit an offer for Barcelona’s Ansu Fati, who is reportedly not in the Catalan club’s plans for the upcoming campaign. Solskjaer is said to be keen on securing the young star’s signature.

Long-standing interest

Besiktas had been linked with the Spanish winger in January, but no official move was made at the time. Now 22, Fati has struggled for game time at Barcelona this season, featuring in only eight matches and accumulating just 187 minutes on the field without scoring or assisting.

Capable of playing both as a left winger and an attacking midfielder, Fati currently has a market value of €5 million ($5.5 million).
