UEFA has announced that the match between Besiktas and the Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv will be played in a neutral venue.

According to TRT Spor, UEFA has decided that the Besiktas-Maccabi Tel Aviv match will not be held in Istanbul. The country and stadium for the match will be announced by the weekend.

This decision follows a precedent set earlier this season when Besiktas’ basketball team played against the Israeli team Hapoel Shlomo in Serbia due to security concerns, rather than in Istanbul.
