Bayern Munich asserted dominance in the second leg of the Champions League round 16, securing a 3-0 victory over Lazio

Bayern Munich defeated Lazio 3-0 on Tuesday in the second Champions League round of 16 matches, securing a quarterfinal spot with an aggregate result of 3-1.

Even though Lazio had an advantage after the first leg, the German team prevailed by having 62% possession of the ball, scoring three goals and qualifying for the next round.

Harry Kane opened the scoring in the 38th minute, followed by a quickfire double from Thomas Muller in the 42nd minute. Kane added another goal himself in the 66th minute, securing the win for his team.

The game was played at Munich’s Allianz Arena in front of about 70,000 fans.

Bayern will know its next opponent after the draw for the final stages of the competition, which takes place at 12 p.m. CET in Nyon, Switzerland, on March 15.
