Aziz Yildirim and Ali Koc argue on live debate
Ahead of today’s historic election at Fenerbahce, Aziz Yildirim and Ali Koc faced each other on live TV.
The two candidates, who engaged in a friendly debate following a prolonged period of discord, shook hands at the beginning of the broadcast and conveyed messages of reconciliation. Both emphasized the importance of cooperation in confronting Fenerbahce’s adversaries.
Additionally, the candidates discussed the reasons behind their past animosity. The primary topics of debate were the FETO terrorist organization and allegations involving British interests.
Aziz Yildirim addressed Ali Koc, stating, “The British interests support you because they oppose me. Their concern is not with you or me, but with Turkey. They are linked to FETO.”
Yildirim alleged that Koc was to be summoned for questioning in the FETO conspiracy case, but he prevented it from happening.
The topic of Jose Mourinho, the globally renowned football manager whom Yildirim claimed to have met and with whom Koc allegedly had an agreement, was also broached. Yildirim remarked, “If I played even a small role, you should show gratitude.” In response, Koc stated, “You are the iconic president of Fenerbahce. I owe you a great deal. Thank you for your contributions to Fenerbahce.”
Towards the end of the broadcast, Koc invited Yildirim to join him for dinner after the election.
