Ancelotti’s one-sentence on Arda Guler: ‘Good and ready to play’

Since Feb. 5, Arda Guler hasn’t played in any of the five Real Madrid matches, which has led to fans’ reactions. When asked about it, Ancelotti gave a one-sentence answer: “Good and ready to play.”
Arda Guler, who transferred from Fenerbahce to the global giant Real Madrid at the beginning of the season and is considered one of the most talented young players in the world, is going through a tough time in Spain.
Not getting playing time and not being among Ancelotti’s first-choice players, Guler also did not play in the Girona match at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in La Liga’s 25th week.
‘Good and ready to play’
After Real Madrid defeated Girona 2-0, during the press conference, coach Carlo Ancelotti responded to a question from a Spanish journalist. When asked, “How is the Turkish player? Does he have a physical problem, why is he not playing?” referring to Guler, who was not even sent for warm-up during the Girona match, the Italian coach briefly replied, “Good and ready to play.”
6 matches as a starter
As 25 weeks of La Liga have passed, Arda Guler, who played in 16 of the 25 weeks and started in six matches, has accumulated a total of 605 minutes in Real Madrid.
Turning 20 on Feb. 25, Arda Guler last played on Feb. 5, when he came on in the 76th minute in their away match against Leganes.
