Anadolu Efes beats Bayern Munich 101-90 in Round 13 of EuroLeague
Anadolu Efes secured a 101-90 victory over Bayern Munich in Round 13 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague on Tuesday, improving their record to 7-6 in the standings.
The Istanbul-based team had six players score in double digits, with Darius Thompson leading the charge, contributing 19 points at the Basketball Development Center. Dan Oturu supported with 14 points, while Ercan Osmani and Rolands Smits added 13 points each. Jordan Nwora and Elijah Bryant rounded out the scoring with 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Despite a career-high 27 points from Devin Booker, Bayern Munich could not overcome the well-rounded performance from Efes. Carsen Edwards chipped in 20 points, and Nick Weiler-Babb added 17, but their efforts fell short as Bayern dropped to an 8-5 record, remaining in sixth place.
Tuesday’s other EuroLeague results included Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz’s 88-76 win over Fenerbahce Beko, Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade’s 84-78 victory over Zalgiris Kaunas, Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens edging FC Barcelona 90-89, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv losing to Paris Basketball 81-93, and LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne narrowly defeating Real Madrid 80-78.
