Asli Kalac, a volleyball player for Fenerbahce and the Turkish national team, plays in the position of a middle blocker. She began her volleyball career in 2005, initially playing for Yesilyurt, a team in the 1st League.
She then transferred to Galatasaray, where she competed for seven years. After her time at Galatasaray, Kalac signed with Turkish Airlines and played for the team for two seasons. In the 2022-23 season, she joined Fenerbahce.
Kalac has achieved significant successes with the Turkish women’s national volleyball team, including winning the 2023 FIVB Women’s Nations League, the 2023 European Women’s Volleyball Championship, and the 2023 Volleyball World Cup.
At the club level, she has earned various accolades in tournaments such as the Sultanlar League, Kupa Voley, Super Cup, Champions League, CEV Cup, and Challenge Cup.
With the national team, she has achieved notable successes including the 2011 U16 European and World Championships, the 2015 European Games, the 2017 FIVB U23 Women’s World Championship, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics fifth place, and the 2023 FIVB Women’s Volleyball Nations League, European Women’s Volleyball Championship, and Volleyball World Cup.
