408 athletes compete in Air Guns Türkiye Championship in Mersin

The Air Guns Türkiye Championship, with 408 athletes participating, officially began with training sessions in Mersin.
The event, organized by the Turkish Shooting Federation at the Yusuf Dikec-Sevval Ilayda Tarhan Olympic Shooting Complex in Erdemli, saw athletes from 27 different provinces.
Among the participants were national shooters Sevval Ilayda Tarhan and Yusuf Dikec. After undergoing equipment checks, the athletes proceeded with their official training sessions.
The competition includes categories for seniors, youth, and juniors. It will start tomorrow with the 10-meter air pistol event, followed by the 10-meter air rifle discipline.
The championship will conclude on April 11.
Esra Kilic Alemdaroglu, the Vice President of Air and Firearms at the Turkish Shooting Federation, spoke to the media and noted the increasing interest in shooting sports. She wished all athletes the best of luck and expressed her hopes for a successful competition.
