10th European Deaf Football Championship begins in Antalya
The 10th European Deaf Football Championship, organized by the Turkish Deaf Sports Federation, has begun in Antalya.
The tournament, held in the Serik district is on from May 20 to June 1. It features teams from Türkiye, France, Poland, Belgium, Greece, England, Germany, Scotland, Wales, Ukraine, Italy, Serbia, and Denmark.
The championship started with Group B matches between Wales and England, then Greece and Germany.
In a match held at the Calista Sports Center in Belek, Antalya, England’s national team defeated Wales 4-0.
In the day’s other Group B match, Germany won 1-0 against Greece.
The championship continues tomorrow with Group C matches between Ukraine and Italy, Serbia and Denmark, and Group A matches between host Türkiye and France, and Poland and Belgium.
Türkiye will face France in its first match tomorrow at 5:00 PM at Serik Ismail Ogan Stadium.
The group stage will be held from May 20-26, the quarter-finals on May 28, the semi-finals on May 30, and the final and third-place matches on June 1.
Matches will be played at Ismail Ogan, Calista Sports Center, and SB Sports Center fields.
Groups
In the tournament, Türkiye will compete in Group A against France, Poland, and Belgium.
