Turkish flags removed, vehicles attacked in Syria’s Euphrates Shield Zone
Vehicles with Turkish license plates were attacked in the Euphrates Shield Operation Zone while some trucks in Syria’s al-Bab region were burnt down on Monday.
The Turkish flag was also taken down at the Shamrak camp for refugees in al-Bab.
Additionally, the offices of the Turkish postal organization in Azaz and al-Bab were raided, and Turkish employees were removed.
The Turkish flag on the Syrian side of the Oncupinar Border Gate was also taken down.
In Azaz, trucks transporting goods from Türkiye to the vegetable and fruit market were stoned.
The Turkish flag on the building of the distribution company supplying electricity to the region was similarly taken down.
These incidents occurred amid ongoing discussions about the normalization process between Türkiye and Syria, raising concerns about potential provocations.
