Following Iranian threats after the assassination of Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh by Israel in Iran, the U.S. has deployed the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier to the Strait of Hormuz from the Persian Gulf to protect Israel, reports suggest.

In response to Iran’s threats, Israel requested assistance from the U.S. After the U.S. pledged its support for Israel in any developments, a significant move occurred in the Gulf.

The USS Theodore Roosevelt carrier strike group of the US Navy has departed the Persian Gulf and arrived at the Strait of Hormuz.

US ready to defend Israel

On the other hand, the Pentagon stated that it has announced additional measures to support Israel’s defense, including current and future defense force posture changes. Strategic moves will be made to emphasize that the United States is ready to respond to this crisis situation and will provide the necessary military support, the Pentagon said.
