President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday emphasized the importance of eliminating terrorist organizations, either through peaceful means or by force.

Speaking at the Justice and Development Party’s (AK Party) 8th Provincial Congress in Kayseri, central Türkiye, Erdogan stated, “As Türkiye, our goal is to ensure the peaceful or forceful elimination of all terrorist organizations in Syria.”

Erdogan added that the PKK/YPG terror group has become defunct, saying, “Like every entity that has outlived its usefulness for others’ agendas, it is close to being discarded.”

Daesh plot will not succeed

He also warned that any attempt to reignite chaos in the region, as seen in the past with Daesh, would fail.

“If those who turned Syria and our region into hell with the Daesh plot are once again trying to set the same trap, they will not succeed this time,” Erdogan said.
