Türkiye’s Ministry of Defense (MoD) announced that 36 PKK/YPG terrorists were eliminated in recent military operations conducted in northern Syria and Iraq.

The ministry reiterated its commitment to ongoing counterterrorism efforts, emphasizing that operations would continue until all threats are eradicated.

Counterterrorism operations in Syria and Iraq

According to the statement, 32 PKK/YPG terrorists were identified and eliminated in northern Syria, while four PKK terrorists were targeted in northern Iraq by the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF).

The ministry underlined that Türkiye’s military operations aim to dismantle terrorist networks and eliminate security threats posed by these groups.

“Terrorists cannot and will not escape the end that awaits them,” the Turkish MoD stated and added: “Our fight against terrorist organizations, wherever they may be, will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.”
