Türkiye on Monday condemned Israel’s decision to stop the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, calling it a violation of international law and urging the global community to take action.

Türkiye criticizes Israel’s restriction on humanitarian aid

In a statement, Turkish Foreign Ministry condemned Israel’s recent move, emphasizing that preventing humanitarian aid from reaching the Palestinian people was a direct breach of international law.

“We condemn Israel’s decision to halt the entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza. The Israeli government’s denial of the Palestinian people’s access to essential supplies constitutes a blatant violation of international law,” the statement read.

The ministry also warned that such actions would escalate tensions in the region and disrupt ongoing efforts for a lasting ceasefire.

Call for international action

The statement further asserted that Israel’s decision amounted to the collective punishment of Palestinians, a move that directly jeopardizes diplomatic initiatives aimed at stabilizing the situation in Gaza.

“This decision, which aims to collectively punish the Palestinian people, also jeopardizes the efforts to establish a lasting ceasefire in Gaza. The international community must take immediate action to secure unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza and ensure that Israel fulfills its obligations,” the ministry added.
