Turkish intel chief Kalin holds talks with Iranian officials in Tehran

Ibrahim Kalin, Chief of Türkiye‘s National Intelligence Organization (MIT), Saturday met with Iran’s Minister of Intelligence, Esmail Khatib, and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Akbar Ahmadian, in Tehran.

According to security sources, Kalin’s discussions with Khatib and Ahmadian focused on several key security issues.

The talks extensively covered efforts in the fight against terrorist organizations, including the PKK/YPG terror group and Daesh, as well as shared security threats.

Additional topics included the situation in Syria, the ongoing ceasefire in Gaza, and recent developments related to the Palestinian issue.
