Trump reportedly promises to lift restrictions on arms transfers to Israel on first day in office
President-elect Donald Trump has pledged to eliminate all restrictions and delays on the transfer of weapons and military equipment to Israel upon taking office, Israeli media outlet Channel 12 reported.
In a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following the U.S. presidential election, Trump reportedly assured Netanyahu that he would immediately lift any limitations on arms transfers.
This promise came during one of three phone calls between the two leaders after the Nov. 5 elections.
Trump is set to take office on Jan. 20, 2025, officially.
